Overview

Barratt Computing is a software development company with many years experience in customised database applications. We are able to offer a full consultancy, design, and implementation service for databases within most business sectors. A number of standard systems are offered on a National basis in industries as diverse as Financial Services and Tourism. 

We offer a wide range of services, including consultation, system design, implementation, maintenance & support of systems for specific clients. Based in the North West of England, with a satellite office in Surrey, we are able to install,  setup, and provide training for industry standard software packages including accounting, payroll and the most of the office suites in general use.

Although primarily a software house, we have considerable experience in building computers to suit our clients exact requirements, ranging from stand alone machines, to complete networks .

Issue with Genesis and MS Word 2003 Update (KB956357)

There is an incompatability between the latest Microsoft update for Word 2003 and Genesis.  If you are unsure as to whether KB956357 has been installed on your system you can check by starting up MS Word and clicking "Help" and "About".  If your version of word is 11.8237.8221 then the KB has been installed and you will need to remove it before it will allow Genesis to communicate with it again.  A guide on performing this process can be viewed here.
